The health and wellbeing of our young players, parents and coaches is our number priority.

Now in their 18th year, this summers soccer schools and multisport camps are set to be even bigger and better with brand new games and challenges.

Our experienced team of coaches will ensure every day is packed with lots of fun activities, whilst ensuring the most up-to-date government health and safety guidance is followed.

Here are the ten ways we will be keeping everyone safe this summer:

1. Reduced soccer school capacity.

We have reduced our soccer school capacity by 50% during every week this summer. Coaches will implement the latest social distancing requirements at all times. No more than 60 children will attend on any day.

2. Maximum of 15 children per group.

This mirrors current school guidance. Each group/coach will also be limited to a maximum of 15 children. Plus, our coaches will stay with the same group each day. Groups will not mix with others.

3. Course adjustments
.

Some activities and practices may be suspended for this summer in order to follow social distance guidance. Only one group per activity area will be allowed at any one time, and we will be suspending our Friday afternoon trophy presentation where parents and siblings are invited. We will also be outdoors for as much of the day as possible and will adjust every activity to meet the latest guidance.

4. Clearly visible social distancing signage.

Signage will be used where necessary; especially in the sign in and out areas to ensure families are adequately spaced apart from each other. Signage will encourage and remind all those at the London Football Academy to keep the highest levels of hygiene and maintain social distancing requirements.

5. Gloves and facemasks.

Protective gloves and facemasks will be available to coaches if required. All coaches will wear gloves and masks when administering first aid.

6. Thorough hand washing.

Every child and coach will be asked to wash their hands thoroughly between each activity. Soap will be readily available in toilets. Hand sanitiser will be accessible at each sign-in desk for every child to use when they enter and leave. Hand sanitiser stations will be accessible at various locations at soccer school. Coaches will be issued with personal hand sanitiser. Children are welcome to bring their own hand sanitizer if required.

7. Ensure that no one on site is displaying any symptoms
.

Anyone displaying Coronavirus symptoms will be excluded from soccer school until they have met the self-isolation and/or testing requirements. Should anyone show symptoms whilst at soccer school, we have robust isolation protocols in place which will be implemented.

8. Contactless sign in and sign out.

Our registration desks will have social distancing gaps between them with clear signage. A contact free sign in and sign out process will be completed by our coaches with hand sanitiser provided at all times. Please note: it is crucial you complete the consent form emailed to you following your booking and return to it us prior to your child’s course starting. No paper forms are to be completed on-site

9. Staggered lunch times.

Parents must provide their child with their own lunch. Lunch breaks will be staggered to ensure groups do not come in to contact with each other. Lunch and break times will be enjoyed outside as much as possible. In addition, lots of hand washing will take place before and after lunch.

10. Enhanced cleaning routines.

Touch hotspots will be regularly cleaned with disinfectant wipes throughout the day. Equipment will also be cleaned/disinfected at the end of each activity. Surfaces will be cleaned before and after use, and enhanced cleaning regimes will take place every day at the London Football Academy.

As we move closer to opening this summer, we will continue to work closely with all partners to ensure that the facilities and sessions delivered meet all requirements of the Department for Education and Public Health England. Some of our plans will no doubt change as this guidance evolves, ensuring that we are doing all we can to keep everyone safe whilst offering an outstanding service to all parents and children.

Should we be unable to deliver courses this summer due to government guidance, all bookings will immediately be refunded in full.
